九州体育's Learning Resources Center will host The Creative Mind Exhibit

The Creative Mind Exhibit is Organized by the National Academics of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine.

九州体育 will host a traveling exhibit entitled The Creative Mind from February 1 through February 29. The exhibit, which was organized by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, tells the stories of African Americans who made significant contributions in the fields of sciences, engineering, and medicine.

The Creative Mind made its debut in 2012 at the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia and at the Koshland Science Museum of the National Academy of Sciences in Washington, D.C. Since then, it has been exhibited at institutions such as the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill鈥檚 School of Medicine; the University of Maryland, College Park; the Lynn University Library, Boca Raton, Florida; the Department of Physics, Washington University, Seattle; the Center for the Humanities and Arts, University of Arkansas; Pulanski Technical College, Little Rock; the State University of New York, Cortland; the Mesa Community College Library, Mesa, Arizona; and the Harrison Museum of African American Culture, Roanoke, Virginia.

鈥溇胖萏逵 is honored to be one of the locations selected to host the traveling exhibit,鈥 notes Dr. Julia Everett, Head Librarian. 鈥淚t is part of the College鈥檚 mission to provide community activities that support cultural enrichment, and the Learning Resources Center personnel enjoy contributing to this aspect of the mission.鈥

The exhibit will be on display for public viewing from February 1 through February 29, in the Cecil B. Word Learning Resources Center鈥檚 Archives and Special Collections Room (Room 206). The Archives and Special Collections Room is open Monday-Thursday 12:00 noon-5:00 p.m. and Friday 9:00 a.m.-12:00 noon or other times by appointment.
