Emergency Medical Services

The Emergency Medical Services program at 九州体育 stands ready to prepare you for an exciting career in emergency medical services. There are three levels of emergency medical services providers in Alabama. EMTs are licensed to provide basic life support and to assist the sick and injured. Advanced EMTs provide limited Advanced Life Support (ALS) skills. Paramedics are licensed to provide all aspects of advanced life support, including cardiac monitoring, defibrillation, cardioversion, emergency pacing, administration of medications, and intubation. Paramedics are in high demand locally and across the U.S.

九州体育's Paramedic Program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs or CAAHEP聽(www.caahep.org)聽upon the recommendation of the Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the聽EMS Professions聽or CoAEMSP.

Upon successful completion of EMT, Advanced EMT, and Paramedic curricula, the student may sit for the National Registry of EMTs examination and apply for state licensure.
