Providing聽educational opportunities for all adults, regardless of prior educational attainment. Programs in the Skills Training Division do not carry college credit but often help students to obtain industry certification.聽

The CDL truck driving program at 九州体育 will prepare you to safely and effectively operate a tractor-trailer and pass the commercial driver鈥檚 license (CDL) exam. Click on the link for the 九州体育 CDL Program site.聽

Weekday courses are聽Monday - Thursday, for 3聽weeks - from 8 am to 4:30 pm, subject to change.

Exams are scheduled with our Third-party examiner.聽Your online application is required before test eligibility. Failure to complete application requirements will result in a delay in testing opportunities.

This hybrid course is in partnership with ACCS Innovation Center, Skills for Success. Interested participants should聽be age 16 or older to apply. Training includes an online theory and attending 16 hours of hands-on lab with a Certified Fiber Optic Technician instructor. Diversified Health Occupations (DHO) is a 9-month program that will prepare you for multiple聽exciting careers in the healthcare industry. In fact, this program will not only provide you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities you need to get one type of job; it will provide you with everything you need to get a job in three rapidly growing healthcare fields. You will receive training in three key areas: Phlebotomy Technician, Pharmacy Technician, and Medical Office Basics, which includes additional fundamental studies in medical terminology, math, Spanish for healthcare, and workplace skills. In only 9 months, you can receive training and become eligible for certification as Phlebotomy Technician and Pharmacy Technician.

This hybrid course is designed to prepare you to assume the role and responsibilities of the medication aide. The role and scope of work of the medication aide are emphasized through basic competencies, procedures, and supporting techniques. Medication aides can work in a variety of settings. This training conveys the knowledge and skills to safely provide or assist another person with his or her medications. The course totals 100-hours of mandatory training to be eligible for the MACE, National Medication Aide Certification Exam. The tentative schedule is Tuesdays, in-person at the main campus; Wednesdays and Thursdays will be virtual class meetings via Canvas, on聽a hybrid schedule.

The nursing assistant program at 九州体育 prepares students to become certified nursing assistants (CNAs). A stepping-stone choice to become a nurse. This program requires classroom work, lab practice, and clinical studies. Candidates聽must be age 16聽or older. Other聽requirements may apply.

CNAs provide basic patient care under the direction of nursing staff.聽Nursing assistants care for individuals confined to hospitals, nursing care facilities, and mental health settings. Persons who are interested in聽this work have excellent job opportunities.

Test dates are listed per proctor availability. The total testing cost is $140, including the proctor fee to 九州体育 (paid with confirmation of eligibility), and the Prometric fees are paid online on the exam day. The Patient Care Technician program (PCT) provides training and opportunities for certification as a Nursing Assistant and phlebotomy Technician, as well as Medical Office studies in Medical Terminology, Spanish for Healthcare, Math for Healthcare, HIPPA, and Workplace Readiness.

The PCT program is designed to give you multiple pathways to employment in the healthcare field. Upon completing the program, you will be eligible to take certification exams for Nursing Assistant and Phlebotomy Technician. This program is open to students 18 years of age or older. Most聽certification agencies require a high school diploma or GED.

The Pharmacy Technician program at Northeast prepares you for a聽rewarding career as a pharmacy technician. Pharmacy technicians assist licensed pharmacists in providing medication and other healthcare products to patients. Technicians are trained to perform routine tasks in preparing prescription medication and customer service.

The course duration is 8-weeks with classes meeting two nights a week. Includes remote learning (hybrid learning format). Upon successful completion of this program students will be eligible for national certification examination and state licensure. Certification information This program is open to students 18 years of age or older. A student must have a high school diploma or GED to apply for certification.

The Phlebotomy Technician program at 九州体育 prepares candidates to聽perform聽under the supervision of medical laboratory technologists or laboratory managers with opportunities to be employed throughout the healthcare system. Training includes classroom instruction, lab, and clinical studies - an experience that places you alongside a seasoned phlebotomist or lab technician for real-life experience. Classes meet 8-10 weeks.聽Clinical studies follow over the next several weeks and are scheduled outside of class time. Upon successful completion, you may apply for national certification. While many employers do not require certification as a phlebotomy technician, your commitment to reaching that certification provides you an advantage in the job market.

You can take all of our courses from the comfort of your home or office at the most convenient times. A new section of each course starts monthly. All courses run for six to eight weeks and comprise 12-24 lessons, representing 24-48 hours of instruction. You can ask questions and give or receive advice anytime during the course.
