Title IX

As an institution under the Alabama Community College System Board of Trustees, 九州体育 (九州体育) is committed to providing both employment and educational environments free of harassment/physical assault or discrimination related to an individual鈥檚 race, color, national origin, religion, marital status, disability, gender, age, or any other protected class as defined by federal and state law. Such harassment and physical assault is a violation of Alabama Community College System policy. Any practice or behavior that constitutes harassment or discrimination shall not be tolerated on campus or at any off-campus site, or in any division or department by any employee, student, agent, or non-employee on the institution鈥檚 property and while engaged in any institutionally sponsored activities. It is within this commitment of providing a harassment-free environment and in keeping with the efforts to establish an employment and educational environment in which the dignity and worth of members of the college community are respected that harassment of students and employees is unacceptable conduct and shall not be tolerated at the College.

Non-Discrimination

It is the official policy of the Alabama Community College System Board of Trustees and entities under its direction and control, including 九州体育, that no person shall be discriminated against on the basis of any impermissible criterion or characteristic, including, without limitation, race, color, national origin, religion, marital status, disability, sex, age, or any other protected class as defined by federal and state law.听九州体育 does not discriminate on the basis of sex and prohibits sex discrimination in any education program or activity that it operates, as required by Title IX, including in admission and employment.

Title IX Coordinator

Reporting Complaints/Harassment

The Title IX Coordinator is the first point of contact for harassment complaints, including reports of discrimination related to an individual鈥檚 race, color, national origin, religion, marital status, disability, gender, age, or any other protected class as defined by federal and state law. This includes pregnancy discrimination. If the Title IX Coordinator is not available, students can report to the Assistant Title IX Coordinator, to any Campus Security Authorities named in the table below, or to any division director, dean, director, supervisor, or advisor. Please note that when a complaint has been reported to any of these individuals, the recipient of the complaint is required to report the complaint to the Title IX Coordinator and/or Campus Police (if necessary). Complaints can be made confidentially to any of the CSAs named below, with the exception of the Campus Police Officers. Anti-Harassment, Physical Assault, and Anti-Discrimination Policy

九州体育 does not tolerate harassment, physical assault, or discrimination.The current Anti-Harassment, Physical Assault, and Anti-Discrimination Policy is published annually in the Student Handbook of the Catalog.

Complaint Policies

Complaint policies of 九州体育, including those for Title IX Complaints, are outlined in detail within the 九州体育 Student Handbook published annually in the Catalog.

Complaint Policies for 九州体育 - Includes the following policies and procedures: Code of Conduct; Title IX Sexual Harassment; Anti-Harassment, Physical Assault, and Anti-Discrimination; and General Complaints. These policies are published in the Student Handbook of the Catalog.

The Clery Act defines reportable crimes as hate crimes, domestic violence, dating violence, stalking, sexual assault, homicide, rape, statutory rape, robbery, aggravated assault, burglary, motor vehicle theft, and arson. Reports on these crimes can be made to campus faculty, staff, or a designated Campus Security Authority.
