The College encourages all students to participate in activities and organizations on campus. The Dean of Student Services administers all College-related student activities, including formation of new organizations and clubs, campus events, and participation of students in departmental activities. The Dean of Student Services judges each request based upon the social and educational benefits provided to the students by the activity. Any student group seeking a student activity must have a faculty sponsor. Following approval, the Dean of Student Services works with each sponsor of student activity groups on developing specific supervisory guidelines for the activity. The Director of Student Activities assists the Dean of Student Services in supervising these activities. All formal student activities have a faculty sponsor. Faculty sponsors are to encourage wholesome and creative student efforts. The College believes that it should fulfill academic, legal, ethical, and moral responsibilities, and uphold federal and state laws regarding student activities. Student activities personnel adhere to these principles as an integral part of their professional duties.
Meetings and events are announced on the video message boards in the Student Center and the monthly Events Calendar on this website. Current student organizations are listed below. The College encourages students to join these organizations and participate in campus events.
